Description
Multi-Material Construction
i230 irons have a five-piece construction, made with a 431 stainless steel body, tungsten weights, a concealed activated elastomer insert, and a multi-part cavity badge.
Milled MicroMax Grooves
The irons have fully machined-faced Micromax grooves and face for the ultimate in precision control. The grooves are spaced out more tightly with steeper side walls to make room for extra grooves. The results are much better to reduce fliers in the short irons and preserve spin in the long irons.
Tungsten Toe/Tip Weights
Additional weight in the form of a tungsten toe/tip weight screw and discretionary weight saved by using an elastomer insert in the cavity. Increases MOI due to mass savings from the new face geometry and expanded perimeter weighting. Preserving ball speed and setting new standards for forgiveness in a more compact iron design.
Tour-Inspired Shaping
The irons have a shorter tour-inspired blade length with a more rounded leading-edge for ample bounce and turf forgiveness. For instance, the longer irons (3-5) are more compact than i210, and the mid/short irons are the same blade length as i210.
Premium Finish
The irons feature a 431 stainless steel body with a durable Hydropearl 2.0 Chrome Finish, a water-repelling finish, that ensures better turf interaction, and more consistent play, scratch, and wear resistance.
